Michael Kelley - Director

Michael is one of the co-founders of Wayward. With Wayward, he has directed The Weir, Tartuffe, and Criminal Genius and was a part of the cast of The Ghost Train and Kaleidoscope. He has also worked with Pioneer Place, Classical Actors Ensemble, Mission Theatre, Savage Umbrella, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Great River Shakespeare Festival and 3AM Productions. Mike likes to drive fast and take chances. All the love to Leah for her constant support and understanding.

 

Sarah Nargang - Producer / Marketing

Sarah Nargang - Producer / Marketing

Sarah Nargang is a co-founder of Wayward Theatre Co and is a producer, director and actress in the Twin Cities. Sarah graduated with her degree in Theatre Arts from Augsburg College with a focus in directing as well as attended ongoing eduction master classes with LISPA's summer intensive in Berlin. Some of Sarah's local work include Children's Theatre Company, Interact Center, The Jungle, Swandive Theatre, Mission Theater, Paul Bunyon Playhouse and Pioneer Place on Fifth. When not creating with her cohorts, Tim McVean and Mike Kelley, Sarah can be found riding horses and trying to make her partner, Brent, giggle. 

Tim McVean - Hamlet

Tim McVean - Hamlet

Tim appeared most recently as Brendan in Conor McPherson's The Weir.  Other Wayward credit include Tartuffe in Molier's "Tartuffe," Teddy Deakin in Arnold Ridley's "The Ghost Train," Applegate in Ray Bradbury's "Kaleidoscope" and Phillie in George F. Walker's "Criminal Genius."

When he's not making theater with his partners, Mike and Sarah, Tim enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his wife and playing fetch with his dog.  He is supremely lucky, and equally grateful.

Tim Perfect - Claudius

Tim Perfect - Claudius

Tim is so thrilled to be a part of this production, having been a fan of Wayward’s work for the last few years. Tim spends most summers at Shakespeare & Company in White Bear Lake, most recently last summer as Falstaff in “Henry IV, Part 1” and Dogberry in “Much Ado About Nothing”.

Hannah Steblay - Ophelia

Hannah is thrilled to be involved in her first full scale production with Wayward Theater Company! Previously, she has worked with Park Square Theater, Classical Actors Ensemble, Theater in the Round and The Strange Capers. She currently works as a theater director at Nova Classical Academy and Lakeville North High School. Thank you to my partner Lucas and my daughter Stella, my father, my mom and stepdad, and to Michael Kelley for this incredible opportunity.

Wayward Theatre Debut.  Theatre in the Round: The Three Musketeers, Deathtrap, Richard III, Witness for the Prosecution, Don't Dress for Dinner, All's Well that Ends Well, I am a Camera, Simpatico, Wild Oats, Come Back to the Five and Dime...; Joking Apart Theatre: Bobby Gould in Hell; Pigs Eye Theatre: Macbeth, Henry V, and The Front Page; Gremlin Theatre: A Devil Inside, Two Rooms, and The Odd Couple; Starting Gate Productions: Our Country's Good; Fifty Foot Penguin: I Married Odin and The Quick and the Red; In the Basement Productions: Les Liaisons Dangereuses.  Training: M.A., University of Northern Iowa; B.A., Moorhead State University. Other: Former Teaching Specialist in Communication & Performing Arts at the U of M. Currently a 2018 Master Gardener Intern for Ramsey County through the U of M Extension Service.

Charles Numrich - Polonius

Charles Numrich - Polonius

Charles Numrich was Director of Creative Theatre Unlimited, St. Paul, MN, for 27 years. He now appears regularly on stages in Minnesota and beyond, and in 2016 he received an Ivey Award for ensemble acting skills. A master storyteller, he collected folk tales and personal histories in local refugee communities, and oral histories from Florida migrant workers. He and his son, Broadway and London stage actor Seth Numrich, were featured on Twin Cities Public Television’s “MN Original.”

Nicholas Leeman - Horatio

Nicholas Leeman - Horatio

Nicholas Leeman (Horatio) is performing in his first Wayward Theatre production, having recently appeared in Couple Fight at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf at Pioneer Place on Fifth. Nicholas also performs regularly at ComedySportz Twin Cities in Calhoun Square, and spends his summers just down the street at CHS field as one of the PA Announcers for the St. Paul Saints. Special thanks to his wife Colleen, who's unending sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

Bethany Mchugh - Assistant Director

Bethany Mchugh - Assistant Director

Bethany McHugh is a director, actress, singer, and theatre-maker who has called Minneapolis home for almost three years. In that time, she has worked with Park Square, Frank Theatre, Full Circle Theatre Company, WLDRNSS, and many others. She is a proud alumna of Carleton College and the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center's National Theater Institute program. She is thrilled to be a part of Wayward's production.

Justin Hooper - Laertes

Justin Hooper - Laertes

Justin Hooper spends most of his time designing scenery for the myriad of local theater companies in this wonderful, magical city.  He is also the Technical Director for Concordia University and a Scenic Artist at The Guthrie. When he gets a chance to put down his measuring tape for a moment, he loves nothing more than performing with the fantastic folks at Wayward. 

Jordan Johnson - Guildenstern

Jordan Johnson - Guildenstern

Jordon Johnson is a technical theater proffesional and occasional actor based in the Twin Cities. He works with many companies but finds particular pride in working with youth in various high school theater programs.

Megan Volkman-Wilson - Rosencrantz

Megan Volkman-Wilson - Rosencrantz

Hamlet is Megan Volkman-Wilson (-Daoust)'s first production with Wayward Theatre. Prior to sharing the stage with the Dane, she worked primarily with Classical Actors Ensemble (As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Love's Labour's Lost), and with Bloomington Civic Theatre (Les Miserables, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, My Fair Lady). Megan gets her strength and inspiration from her best friend and partner in adventure, Jordan, from her powerfully fierce female family, and from her sweet baby angels, Shadowfax (cat) and Moody (pup). Meg can’t believe she has the opportunity to play with this extraordinary group of artists, and hopes you enjoy hearing this story as much as we do playing it for you.

Edwin Strout - Ghost / Player King / Gravedigger

Edwin Strout - Ghost / Player King / Gravedigger

Edwin is very happy to be working with Wayward Theatre Company once again, having played Finbar in “The Weir”, and Saul Hodgkin in “The Ghost Train” last year.  In the 26 years that Edwin Strout has been performing in the Twin Cities theater community, he has worked with over 41 different theater companies in over 100 roles.  Most recently, he has performed as The Park Ranger in “Death in Yosemite” for Rooftop Theatre Company; Man in “Turn of the Screw” for Hero Now Theatre; Saul Hodgkin in “The Ghost Train” for Wayward Theatre/Mission Theatre Companies; Eygorushka/Pugachov in “Goodbye, Cruel World” for Theatre Pro Rata; and Quince/Egeus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Park Square Theater.

Katie Kaufmann - Cornelia / Player Queen / Man 2

Katie Kaufmann - Cornelia / Player Queen / Man 2

Katie is an actor/creator focused on devised work and new plays. She has worked with many theatre companies in the Twin Cities including Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Guthrie Theater, Walking Shadow, Red Eye, Off-Leash Area, Sandbox Theatre, Four Humors, Theatre Pro Rata, Skewed Visions, 20% Theatre, and Theatre Forever. Katie is a graduate of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre and holds a BA in Drama and Italian from Colorado College. She also creates her own work. Her plays include, Keeper of the Light, Everything Must Go, Aftermath, and What If. 

Gary Danciu - Barnardo

Gary Danciu - Barnardo

Gary is thrilled to make his Wayward Theatre Company debut! Gary previously performed in Romeo and Juliet with Mission Theatre Company and Taking Steps with Theatre in the Round. Prior to moving to the Twin Cities last year, Gary was a resident ensemble member of the Commonweal Theatre Company. Gary will next be seen in Mission Theatre Company's production of Trojan Women.

Michael Quadrozzi

Michael is delighted to make his debut with Wayward Theatre in this unique and exciting production!  A Twin Cities actor since 2014, he has previously performed at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse as Dr. Watson in Baskerville and Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's Black Coffee at Theatre in the Round. He has also appeared onstage recently with Wonderlust Productions, Classical Actors Ensemble, Lakeshore Players Theatre, and in American Civic Forum's Great and Happy People, a series of great speeches from history.   Michael will be seen next in Fortune's Fool Theatre's "The Skriker," performing at the Crane Theater in Minneapolis in April.

Terri Ristow - Prop Master

Terri Ristow - Prop Master

Terri Ristow is enjoying her second show with Wayward Theatre, and her third time working in the beautiful James J. Hill House! 


Terri’s recent projects include The Cardboard Piano at Park Square Theatre, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile with the Chameleon Theatre Circle.  In addition, she has worked with Dangerous Productions (Twin Cities Horror Festival), Uprising Theatre Company, Young Artists Initiative (YAI), The Haunted Basement at the Soap Factory Art Gallery, Ramsey County Fright Farm, Theatre in the Round, Northfield Arts Guild, Lex-Ham Theater, and The Theatre Cosmic (MN Fringe Festival).  Upcoming projects include Annie at YAI, and The Skriker with Fortune's Fool Theatre.  Savor this evening of intrigue and treachery with Hamlet!

Anna Hill - Costumer Designer

Anna Hill - Costumer Designer

Anna Hill is a recent graduate of Illinois State University where she received her MFA in Costume Design. She currently teaches and designs at Concordia University St. Paul where she graduated in 2012. Anna has been employed as Technical Director at CLIMB Theater, Prop Designer at Pioneer Place, and Costume Designer at the History Theatre, Black Dirt Theater, Energy Dance Collective, and was an Assistant Costume Designer for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. She is very excited to be designing for her first Wayward show! 

David P Schneider - Fight Choreographer

David P Schneider - Fight Choreographer

David P Schneider is a recognized Advanced Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has been training since 2001. He has choreographed violence for more than 2 dozen shows in the Twin Cities, including Walking Shadow’s Three Musketeers, Classical Actor’s Ensemble’s Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore, Park Square’s August: Osage County, Tedious Brief’s Bard Fiction and Tempests, Hamlet at Theatre in the Round, and fights for the annual Human Combat Chess for Six Elements and the MN Renaissance Festival. He has performed around the twin cities since 2003 with numerous companies including Theatre in the Round, Classical Actor’s Ensemble, Six Elements Theatre, Flaneur Productions, Green T Productions, Off Leash Area, and the Minnesota Opera. David is also the owner of Northern Edge Armory: a local theatrical weapons rental and maintenance source.

James Fornes - Soldier / Ensemble

James Fornes - Soldier / Ensemble

James is a theatre artist in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area. He has also worked with Stages Theatre Company and is looking to do more freelance work. This is James' second time working with Wayward Theatre Company and he hopes to do so more in the future.

Jackson Gray - Soldier / Ensemble

Jackson Gray - Soldier / Ensemble

Jackson is a senior at Nova Classical Academy. He is a proud pizza artisan at Little Caesars and performs all his own stunts. Live dangerous!

Bridget Erickson - Player / Gentlewoman / Ensemble

Bridget Erickson - Player / Gentlewoman / Ensemble

Bridget is ecstatic to be working with Wayward Theatre for the first time. She is currently studying Oral Communication at St. Kate’s and has used her theatrical experience to help with that endeavour. She most recently portrayed Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web. She has been doing shows for the past 10 years and hopes to continue for many years to come.

Erik Sorenson - Soldier / Ensemble

Erik Sorenson - Soldier / Ensemble

Erik is still new to Twin Cities theatre. He previously appeared in Katie vs. the Devils in the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival, and Frankenstein with Green T Productions. Other favorite credits include: The Merchant of Venice, Cock, The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, and Tartuffe. Erik is a graduate of Carleton College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in theatre.

Austin Koenig - Soldier / Ensemble

Austin Koenig - Soldier / Ensemble

This is Austin's first production in the Twin Cities. Previous credits include: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Sound of Music, Songs for a New World, and Lysistrata. Austin graduated in 2017 from NDSU with a B.F.A. in Performance. 

Max Hollingsworth - Soldier / Ensemble

Max Hollingsworth - Soldier / Ensemble

Max Hollingsworth is a high school senior at Nova Classical Academy. Working with Wayward Theatre will be his first time acting outside high school theatre and he is thrilled for the opportunity. Other than acting he enjoys writing and composing music. Soon to go into college, he hopes that he can continue acting and become a larger part of the theatre scene in the Twin Cities.
